Another fun night at CC Slaughters. We had Quizmaster-in-training Wendy in the house and she did a great job running the Bingo round and helping throughout.
Lots of nice photos of my CCs folks with their Dads. Yes, I mean their real Dads. (Vs their “Daddies” if you know what I mean. That’ll have to be [...]

Woo hoo, a rather quiet, intense one at the ol’ Belmont Inn last night.
Quiz writer Dave’s quiz was tough, and the top 10 teams or so were separated by only a few points up until the very end. In round 2, the “Name that Brand” round, it was fun listening to the different advertising jingles [...]

Bare knuckle grudge match… Bogey’s 6/5/08

It was a wild one out in Gresham as two heavyweigts battled it out for Bogey’s Pub Quiz bragging rights. We had the ‘Bogey’s’ team and Arch-rival ‘Shuggy’s’. It was back and forth through the rounds with answers being thrown back and forth. What a time we had though singing all of those ads from [...]

All I know is that I had a girl [...]

Had a fun time filling in for Rigel at Biddy’s last night. Thank you all for your patience for the slightly late start. Big appreciations to the lovely Leandra, QM-in-training/#1 officer for helping out, and especially with the pronunciation of “Hercule Poirot” for the final challenge question. Unfortunately, that wasn’t too helpful for the teams [...]

Italian… Indian… whatever… it all looks the same in your stomach. C.C. Slaughter’s 6/2/08

What a great night last night at CC’s… filling in for the lovely Ms. Toni is always a tough thing to do since she is the epitome of class and style… two things that have eluded me for the better part of my life… but I did my best… even if I did say ‘Italian’  several times [...]
