It was a liquor-ful night with members from all the teams gladly trying new drinks for points. We got the ball a-rollin with 4 teams, including one that was brand spankin new to pub quiz! Yay newbies!!

So…we didn’t have a big enough crowd to hold a quiz at Portsmouth last night. That’s ok. I suppose there are more important things going on in this nation than pub quiz. I forgive you….as long as you voted. hehe
Anyways…..the big winners, in my opinion, are the people of America. [...]

So, the crowd was small..as usual for Portsmouth. Hey half the gang was dressed up, so that’s good. It’s always fun to see people get into the spirit of being somebody they aren’t for a day. I LOVVVEEE Halloween!!

So it was a bit chilly last night.  And everyone was sooo quiet at Portsmouth…I almost thought I had stepped into the library.
So, we had 2 of our veteran teams, 1 team on their sophomore voyage and 1 team brand spankin new to Oregon’s pub quiz scene but fresh off the SF pub quiz scene.  [...]

I was elated to walk in to Portsmouth and hear the buzz of…people!!  Woohoo!  There were lots of would-be pub quizzers there!  I set up and encouraged the ping-pong/pinball players to stay and play with us.

So, the debates just had to be on last night…Needless to say, attendance at Portsmouth was down.  I had 2 teams ready to go head to head tho.  The Smokin Aces and Nelson 5 were happy to know they were in the final round from the beginning.  I was also pleased to be able to [...]

I had the lonely Smokin Aces show up to play Pub Quiz…but nobody else.  Oh well….they’ll all be back, and they’ll bring lots of friends, NEXT week, right??  Cool.
I blame it on Iron Man coming out on Tuesday….It was a good movie, though.

With every new show in the world starting on TV this week, I was very impressed to see 6 teams formed by 27 people at my first Fall pub quiz!  They have embraced the Fall scent and breezes and clamored in to play the quiz.  But nobody brought me any leave flowers.

Ahoy, maties!  Grab yer grog and cop a squat.  Climbing aboard is Jeremy, the quizmaster in training.  The Portsmouth didn’t disappoint…we had 13 people make up the 3 teams: Bloody Skullz, Nelson 5 and Smokin’ Aces.  So the beat goes on.
