So kind to the sub.

With poor Alisa sick and trying to quickly recover before they head on their grand European adventure, I was happy to step in as Substitute QM at ye olde Bridgeport. And thanks to the Bridgeportians for being lovely! Haven’t been back since my training days so it’s fun to see the familiar faces.

We had a pretty darn full house with 88 peeps and cool pot over $250. Many of you had lovely photos, the most popular landmarks being the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomph and the Tower Bridge in London.

The one embarrassing brain failure on my part throughout the Bingo round was my incapability of correctly pronouncing M. Night Shyamalan’s name. I’ll blame it on the fact that there was a typo involving extra “y”’s in there that kept screwing me up. SHAH meh lahn, SHAH meh lahn, SHAH meh lahn…

It was a tight game throughout the night, particularly in the 4th-8th places, with just a couple of points separating those teams vying for the final challenge spots. Cattle Prodigy held the lead up until that final challenge round. Due to some nifty wagering of points and correctly answering the green code for “coffee shops” in Amsterdam, Mostly Confused ended up taking the title and the big cash, followed by The Good, The Bad, and the Wally who took 2nd and The Craigs who nabbed 3rd.

Thanks for playing and we’ll see you next week as I continue my reign as Substitute QM at Bridgeport.

Hehehe… it wasn’t a typo… I can’t be the only quizmaster who can’t pronounce things… just kidding.. Is there a school we can go to to help pronounce stuff?? Preferably, a four year institution on a white sandy beach somewhere… O Yea… Pub Quiz does tuition reimbursment right??

At least you guys didn’t mispronounce Barack Obama, as I did tonight. I said, Ba RACK, as in Ack! there’s a gerbil on my face! I felt like an Appalachian hillbilly, but at least nobody said anything.

Too funny. Perhaps we all QMs need language lessons!
