Allright… some weeks our writers get a bee in their bonnet and decide they’re going to flex their trivia muscle and challenge our good Pub Quiz Goer’s and see where they really stand…. 

Yep…. it definitely seems to be that kind of week… I thought the Beatle’s handout last night was tough… well the ‘Artifacts’ handout with nothing but cover art from rock albums was the Beatle’s Handout’s ugly tougher sister!! WOW!!

But the good folks who came out to the Thirsty Lion all took it in stride… and fought a pitched battle with teams moving around on the scoreboard like ants at a picnic… But when it all sorted out we had five that passed the writer’s challenge and made it into the final question round.

‘Toni Tony Tone Death’ and ‘The Super Radds’ made it into the final round… but that’s all the further they got as they both missed the Janis Joplin final question. ‘Molding Young Minds’ proved that even a group of teachers can be hip and in the know as they rocked out and took third. The night though belonged to ‘Mostly Confused’ as they fought through the writer’s trickery and took the top prize and the largest split of the $183 pot!1 Well done!!

I’m saving special kudos though for our second place team… ‘Brown Moses’. That’s right a single player came into The Thirsty Lion, stood up and said ‘I’ll defend The Pub Quiz faithful from those mean and dirty writers!!!’ He split the ‘Artifact’ and ‘True or False’ Handouts like the Red Sea (or maybe a little more like the Williamette) and promptly took second place!!! Hell Yea!! Rock on my friend!!!!
