This week CC Slaughters hosted a small crowd of loyal, talented PQ-ers. There was a lovely $50 rollover from the Bar Team’s 2nd 1st place victory in a row, so the big question was, can they do it again?
Apparently not this time. My Shark Can Kick All Your Asses knocked the Bar Team’s sweet butts off their reign of dominance! You know what I mean. I think it makes it all the sweeter that the team was named after the Beanie Baby hammerhead shark they brought in. CC Slaughters Bar Team and The Streeps tied for second so there’s another rollover of $20+ for next week.
The Beanie Babies gave me a bit of a chill because my mom and her friends would extoll frightening stories of lining up at McDonalds for Happy Meals. Yikes! The Beanies have come a long way since then - so sparkly!
One of my dear players was disappointed with the lack of boy bands in the Name That Tune round, seeing as the 90s was THE era of boy bands. So with that I leave you with this homage from youtube…
