Good times at the Bridgeport

She’s BAAAAAACK at the Bridgeport! My first night back at my ol’ stompin’ ground was a good ‘un. I thought it was hilarious to arrive about 7pm, get out of my car, head to my hatchback to get my stuff, and look up to see 4-5 faces looking out of the windows of Bridgeport, as if I was some kind of celebrity. When I got upstairs, evidently people were getting worried that I wouldn’t show up! ‘Course, kiddies, I don’t get paid by the hour, and my set-up time is only about 8 minutes, so no time was lost. We started at 7:30 right on the dot!

It was really nice to see all the mothers out there last night. Although Adam of Clarification Please was a little disappointed that only women could benefit from the bonus point opportunity, there IS another male holiday in June that should appease the men. Not a daddy? Well, I have been known to dole out a couple points for pictures of your kitty or dog.

HUGE $212 pot this week!! Everyone loves a good turnout. People were puzzled at first with the stickies for round 2, but I explained right quick we were doing the “Who Am I?” game, something I haven’t done on a Tuesday for a while. It was definitely good times!

Team Mothers of Invention were in the lead through the entire game, until the FINAL question! Geez, everyone hates it when that happens! They lost to the question about mothers in Music: the name of the album released in 1970 by Pink Floyd that had a cow on the front of it. Their answer: Animals. Well, what does that have to do with Mothers? That’s what got ‘em, and Cattle Prodigy busted through to win first place.

Thanks to everyone who treated the wait staff with kindness! A couple weeks ago, I heard some stories of a couple teams barkin’ at ‘em. We can’t have that! I’d humbly ask that, no matter what quiz you go to, be sure to be gracious to your server. After all, they ARE only trying to make a living!
