Yeah, I’ll confess, I’ve never seen the Sound of Music. I’ve never had the opportunity or the gumption to watch it. Nevertheless, when the crowd at Bogey’s breaks into song I’m compelled to fudge my way through the tune, anyway.
Maybe I should rent it this weekend so I can attempt to capture the nostalgia of watching it with the babysitter on a rainy evening before bedtime.
Agh, who am I kidding? I hate musicals.

I have decided I’m going to write one, though. I think Cabaret has to be my favorite musical because it’s not a collection of random love songs that spring from the gushingly zealous hearts of vapid adolescents. *cough* Grease *cough* And, Joel Grey is a badass.

Anyway, I was going to give you the outline of my show but I’ll just say my musical will be dark, dreadful and full of hopelessness.
