What an insane night last night at the Thirsty Lion!!! It was a groovin’ crowd as we continued our Monty Python week! We had a couple of firsts last night…

The first, first was The Thirsty Lion Question of the week where my favorite theme team name of the night ‘The Holy Handgrenades’ won some great quality Beer glasses… We also decided that empty glasses weren’t enough for our inagural question so we bought them some beers to fill them!! Nice!!… It’s going to be a new tradition at the Lion with different prizes being awarded to the teams who guess the Thirsty Lion question right… hell yea… I love giving away great shit!!

I did say my favorite ‘theme’ team name because I have to give my favorite team name a shout as well ‘Eat Crayons, Poop Rainbows!’… even though they tried to pull a fast one in the Who am I? round by bringing up an answer for another team… Yea.. you got caught and punished didn’t you bastards!! LOL!!!

But the other first I have to give mad props to is ‘Little Lebowski Urban Achievers’, who for the first time in all the time I’ve been doing Pub Quiz scored a perfect round in the Bingo Round!!! Frickin’ Awesome!! They were going to hang the bingo quiz card with all of the answers circled on their refrigerator and well deserved it would be to!!!

We had five teams go into the final round with the aforementoned ‘Little Lebowski Urban Acheivers’ and ‘The Holy Handgrenades’ missing out on the split of the pot. ‘Scooby’s Red Rocket’ and ‘Team Radical’ fought their way to third and second respectively even though tthey missed the final question.

But in an incredible win… ‘The Good, The Bad and The Wally’ actually knew that Pork Shoulder was the first part of a pig listed on the original ‘SPAM’ and took the biggest share of our $189 pot. Incredible!!! Well played guys!!!
