Hello all,

It was another great turnout at The Portsmouth, Pizza and Pub last night and everyone walked away with something!! Portsmouth donated some great Jager and Jameson swag that was divided up among the teams throughout the night. Maybe it was some birthday magic but ‘Ben and the Wizards’ got their swag for actually spelling Cleveland Center ‘Zydrunas Ilgauskas’s’ name correctly! Happy Birthday Ben! Thanks for spending a bit of it with us at the quiz!

‘Team Solo’ forged the path by himself after some other folks from ‘Meetup.com’ didn’t show… you know it’s really hard to Meetup with yourself! But he was a trooper and even though he didn’t make it into the final round, he definitely gave a good showing!

‘Team Cool Hand Luke’ Decided to get in a little late and suffered a low first round handicap from me burning through their bingo questions at their table before bingo was called (I sounded like Joe Isuzu while getting them caught up! Am I showing my age again??)

Team ‘Happy Talk’ got their swag from being the only team who got the audio clue correct with ‘Singing in the Rain’ with Gene Kelly! It was a tough one! Way to go ladies! They also made it to the final round but unfortunately missed the ‘Bad Musicals’ final question.

But of course nobody got the final question right last night and when the Final round wagers were all sorted out it was the young upstart team ‘The Nelson Five’ who beat out the Portsmouth perennial team ‘The Smoking Aces’ for first place. Well done guys!! I hope to see you next week to defend your title. Although I have to wonder if ‘The Smoking Aces ‘ might have been a bit distracted with…. well you know FINALS going on!!! That’s what I love about those guys… they have their priorities in the right place!!! A big Cheers to you guys!!!

All in all it was a great night…. I can’t wait to see how next week is going to turn out!!
