Sometimes a pub quiz can make you feel a lot like a fourth grade teacher. You’re learnin’ new things to people who act much younger than they are (I think that’s an affect of the alcoschmol) and you grade a lot of papers. In honor of that feeling I offer you this fine, fine rhyme for anyone who’s ever wanted to knock me off after a particularly difficult quiz. So today it’s my theme song. I think it’s better than Who Could it Be Now by Men At Work. (I had that in my head when I woke up today)
Tra-ra-ra-boom-de-ay
Our teacher passed away
We killed him yesterday
We threw him in the bay
He scared the fish away
And when we pulled him out
He smelled like sauerkraut
Tra-ra-ra-boom-de-ay
Oh Yeah, Lonesome Three took the gold last night!
Who can it be knocking at my door?
Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor.
If he hears, he’ll knock all day,
I’ll be trapped, and here I’ll have to stay.
I’ve done no harm, I keep to myself;
There’s nothing wrong with my state of mental health.
I like it here with my childhood friend;
Here they come, those feelings again!
Thought you might like to get that song back in yo head…that post certainly got it in mine!
