Weirdest thing happened last night after the quiz – Queer Eye for the Straight Guy South Park!  Now I can consider myself slightly more socially aware.  Or something like that.  Instead of getting my news from comedy shows, I get my pop culture from cartoon satire.  Is that so wrong?

Right now, I am obsessed with home remodeling. Not enough to watch any programmes about it, but enough to pour over before-and-after photos with a greedy and judgmental eye. The pubquizzers at Parkway Station have some amazing shots.  I got to see a lacrosse – area? – that had been remodeled, a bathroom that had been installed into a rotting wall (I didn’t quite get the details there though), and several other lovely rooms.  Yay for DIY!  I’m loving curbly.com these days. 

Pub Quiz last night was close! Beneath the flat-out hostility in the room, I could see the good-natured animosity and good times were had by all.  The Bingo bonus went to Bailouts are for Sissies, and they led the round with Crab Feet.  Round two was A to Z and everybody did really well. The handout on fabrics was a great success, proving that pubquizzers do, indeed, know argyle socks from gingham dresses, as was the handout on famous deaths, proving that pubquizzers are… morbid?

In the final round, Crab Feet, Dazed and Confused and Bailouts are for Sissies just edged out the Sheep Shaggers and the Kings of Scotland and entered the final round. Everyone was correct on the obscenely easy question, so the win came down to wagers.  Bailouts are for Sissies took first and Dazed and Confused took second.  Bravo!
