Nice to see all those happy faces at The Maiden! And a few Disney fans out there with their Disney tickets in hand. Currently valid ones, too. Hard core!

Have you been on a roller coaster lately? Last summer I went to Cedar Point (I’m an ex Clevelander and grew up riding the Gemini, Bluestreak all those awesome coasters) with my cousin from the Philippines and her boys - 7 year old twins and a 5 yr old. I haven’t been to a theme park or ridden a roller coaster in about 10 years, maybe longer.  I admit I was chicken shit compared to my  cousin’s kids! I rode the Demon Drop - one of those ones that shoots you straight up, dangles you over the top and then drops you straight down in about 5 seconds. I believe it took me about an hour and a half to fully recover from that. The kids however were all over it, and many other bigger, faster, scarier coasters and rides. No, I didn’t end up riding any of the roller coasters (I couldn’t even get myself to ride the Gemini for nostalgia sake). And my cousin and her husband were forced to ride scary rides with their fearless young sons. I can’t believe what a wimp I’ve become… At any rate, don’t have to rider coasters to know my theme park trivia!

Perhaps it was the name, but Beige Food Magic Mountain (a fun ride for sure) took the lead early on and never really let go. All the teams did great and many folks got a perfect score on the One Hit Wonder hand out. (Okay, that might have been a bit too easy!)

In the end it came down to Beige Food Magic Mountain, The Squirrels and Mostly Confused. After everyone missed out on the Las Vegas themed final challenge it came down to the wagers.

Congrats to Beige Food Magic Mountain the new champs at the Maiden. Kudos to Mostly Confused for betting wisely and slipping into 2nd.
