Awwwww.  Hood River’s Pub Quizzers were caught a little off guard last night – I’m leaving my post at the Horse and Hound to teach writing classes.  Frankly, I’m not sure who needs me more, but I leave the Quiz in good hands. In addition to my bad news, Pub Quizzers at the Horse and Hound also met their new Quizmaster this week – Jeremy!

Anyway, the people know their Amusement parks (though I saw only three tickets all night), and every team scored pretty well during the Bingo round. The 20 Bingo bonus points went to Food on a Stick, although the real points went to The Carnies for  illustrating their team name for Jeremy and me (okay, they weren’t real points exactly, but I loved the bearded lady).

Three teams entered the final round last night: Sandbar Developers, Food on a Stick and The Carnies.  Unfortunately, none of them could name the big shiny pink eyesore that I drove past everyday on my way to school: The Adventuredome at the Circus Circus did more than smell funny, it changed the course of our game! All the teams bet high, so all the scores went low.  With just 39 points, The Carnies won the game (I swear I didn’t give them any points for the bearded lady) and in second with 17 points was Food on a Stick.

Thanks to everyone for making Jeremy feel welcome, and thanks too for having fun with me this summer.
