After dealing with food poisoning most of last week… ugh…  I was raring to get back into the QM saddle last night at The Green Dragon. We got started with a new style of bonus point question asking Quizzers if they knew who was going to star in ‘The New 90210′. The chorus of o crap’s… and are you kidding me’s made me laugh as they heard the question… some did better than others but no one got the full points.

We were packed to the gills with 60 folks playing the quiz last night. Perhaps it was the green fairies and their sneaky absinthe that was flowing around the room, but everyone was well behaved and didn’t even argue much when the answer of  ’Francis Drake’,  who was the first one to complete a trip around the world… Magellan died before he made it through his trip. It was a bit sneaky I must say… but everyone took it in stride.

In the end we had enough people for five teams to get into the final round for the first time at the Dragon. Two teams got confused and missed the final question (’Mostly Confused’ and ‘Dazed and Confused’). ‘The Cerebral Pals’ took third with ‘The Squirrels’ sneaking up for second. But the night belonged to ‘The Sirens of Titan’ who wooed their way into the 1st place with their beguiling song of seduction. Well played guys!!!
