Super Maiden

Another fun night at The Maiden. Not as hectic as last week with the huge birthday group, but a good size game for some paranormal action.

The scores were fairly tight for the whole game. Except for Mostly Confused, who apparently likes to stay on top, the rest of the field shifted around every round. Newbies Dumbledorks, a mere team of two, the smarty-pants teachers in The Schoolers, hung in the top third for most of the night.

I for one was happy when we got to the bingo round because we’ve reduced the bingo bonus from 30 to 20, which I think is much more reasonable. Seems like folks agreed. The lovely ladies of Redrum nabbed the bingo bonus.

I did research a couple of disputed questions/answers. It’s true that tomato is actually a fruit, but for culinary purposes it is also considered a vegetable. And yes, tomatoes were not the only culprit of the salmonella outbreak. And Gorbachev was indeed a President. He was the one and only President of the Soviet Union. That position was dissolved as the Soviet Union did. So there.

Okay, I admit the Anagrams handout was killer. At least I gave you some hints!

In the end, Mostly Confused once again defied their own name and won the title. The Schoolers took 2nd and Redrum took 3rd. Congrats!

See you all next time!
