Okay, so CC Slaughters is not exactly what we would call a “dining” destination. We come to dance, party, hang out, quiz, smoke and snack. Their most popular food item (I think it may be their only food item, aside from the snack mix they serve on the tables) is the old chicken strips and fries. So folks prevailed and enjoyed the strips and the cocktails. Makes sense to me!

Was a little worried we wouldn’t have enough quizzers in the house, but y’all came in the final few minutes before we started. Yay! We even got a brand new team - Beaver Fever - welcome!

It was a good, fun quiz all-around. Charo’s Angels shimmied to an early lead bumped even higher with their Bingo bonus. The Streeps and Beaver Fever stayed neck-in-neck the whole way through.

In the end Charo’s Angels reigned supreme! Congrats! The Streeps grabbed the #2 spot with Beaver Fever just 2 pts behind.

The highlight of my night was sitting outside waiting for my ride. As Charo’s Angels hugged each other goodnight, they turned to me and said, “Are we drunk enough to hug Quizmaster Toni?” And soon thereafter I was gettin’ some Angel-love. Gee thanks, ya’ll!
