You know when you have one of those days at work when nothing really works out right and anything that can, will go wrong. Well it was that type of night last night at the Thirsty Lion. I have to thank everyone who was there last night for their patience and good nature last night. The bingo round got thrown into a tizzy because of ‘Umami’… yes it is now an accepted ‘basic’ taste… and I needed some magnesium to settle my stomach with all of the challenges to that question… the worst part about it was that I wasn’t even on drugs last night… maybe I should have been…

But I think things got better as we went into the video round and people enjoyed the drug movie scenes… and then things slowed down when we had to grade the Cause of death handout… ouch!! I have to say a big thanks here to Ms. Carly who came out at short notice to help me grade last night…. I would not have made it through the night without her!! Eventually we did get through it though and finally got to our final round.

‘Pge Park’ and ‘Pale Force’ both got into the final round but missed out on the cash. ‘The Good, the Bad and the Wally’ and ‘Molding Young Minds’ took third and second. But the night belonged to ‘Mostly Confused’ as they interpreted my mangling of the Clockwork Orange recital and took home the top prize. Well played guys!!
