What an incredible night at The Thirsty Lion!! We had 99 people playing the quiz… WOW!! It was definitely the biggest quiz that I’ve had the pleasure of Quizmastering. And a great crowd at that. Everyone was patient as I had to run in the back and print off some more copies of everything as we had 24 teams!! Frickin awesome!! I just thank god that I had Ms. Bebe Merlot was there to help me grade!!

I saw some very cool pics of inspirational ladies and there were even some who came to the quiz (Does a mother of two sons at the quiz count for double bonus points??? It as a moral quandary!!). 

 I did have a team of engineers arguing about the difference between gauge and caliper… and I’m researching it again… frickin’ engineers…LOL!! Just Kidding guys… there were very good natured about it and we had a very spirited discussion and they gracefully demurred to my reasoning… sort of…hehe.

The video round featuring some wild, wonderful and wicked women was a hit and it was a close battle as we headed into the final round. Sitting there all night and looking at that $297 I just had to throw in the extra three bucks to make the pot $300!! Everyone got the final question right and it came down to the wagers. ‘Clarification Please’ and ‘The Dewey Decimators’ both went conservative on the final question wager and it ended up costing them a shot at the huge pot. ‘South of Mostly Confused’ and ‘Team without Dan’ came in third and second and both got a wad full of cash!! But the night belonged to ‘Scooby’s Red Rocket’ who finally overcame some final round disasters and took home the biggest pot in Thirsty Lion Pub Quiz history!! Well Played guys!!!
